Syracuse’s Salt City Jazz Collective is a 16-piece big band with solid traditional roots. The Jazz Collective has earned recognition by boldly delivering the historical compositions of its genre’s greatest icons including Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Woody Herman, Glenn Miller, and Tommy Dorsey. Additionally, the band has established its own unique sound by performing original compositions written by band members Joe Riposo and Angelo Candela.

The Salt City Jazz Collective performs regularly at the Syracuse Suds Factory in Armory Square. The Collective has performed in concert at the Syracuse Jazz Fest and at other concert venues.
